Wolfson defeated The Bolles School 3-0 in volleyball Monday, Sept. 21, dropping the Bulldogs to their third straight-sets loss of the season.
The match was a rematch of a 2025 postseason meeting between the two Jacksonville programs, according to Florida Times-Union reporter Clayton Freeman, who posted updates from the match on X.
Wolfson won the second set 25-22 and closed out the third 25-19. The first-set score was not available.
@cfreemanjax: "A solid all-around performance tonight from the young Wolfpack. Going to be a team to watch in October."
The Wolfpack entered the match ranked No. 7 in the Duval Sports D1 Top 10 at 9-4, one spot behind No. 6 Bolles at 6-2. Those rankings were published Thursday, Sept. 17, before Monday's result. Wolfson's roster features setter Carter Rowell, who had already reached 1,000 career assists, along with sophomore attacker Bethany Stephens and junior defender Mae Abernathy.
For Bolles, the loss follows a 3-0 sweep by Beachside on Aug. 25 and a 3-0 defeat to Ponte Vedra on Sept. 14. Senior Sophia Albaugh, an All-First Coast First Team honoree, anchors the Bulldogs' offense alongside Izzy Fischer and junior middle blocker Mallie Brackin.
Three straight-sets losses in a single season is an unusual stretch for a program ranked in the Duval top 10.
FHSAA district volleyball tournaments open Monday, Oct. 12, with the regular season ending Thursday, Oct. 8, according to the Florida Times-Union. Bolles' remaining regular-season schedule includes matches against Bishop Kenny, Mandarin, Trinity and Fletcher.
