High school swimming and diving season is underway across Northeast Florida, with Mandarin High School's team already in daily after-school practices at the MHS pool and The Bolles School positioned to extend two of the longest championship streaks in state history.
The Florida Times-Union's 2026 season preview, published Tuesday, Aug. 18, named Bolles among the top programs to watch alongside Bishop Kenny, Episcopal, Nease and Ponte Vedra. Northeast Florida programs claimed five team titles at the 2025 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) state championships.
Bolles Boys and Girls Chase Record Streaks
For Bolles, the boys are chasing a 39th consecutive state title. The girls are after No. 36 in a row.
The Bulldogs lost serious firepower to graduation. The boys' 200-yard medley relay of Krish Jain, Lucas Young, George Dovellos and Liam Carrington set a national high school record of 1:26.67 at the November 2025 Class 1A state meet, according to SwimSwam. Carrington ranked second nationally in the 100 freestyle. The 400 freestyle relay of Dovellos, Carrington, Nic Kwan and Charles Zuhoski also posted the nation's top time. All were seniors.
Dillon Brigman, an All-American in the 200 and 500 freestyle, signed with the University of Tampa.
Returning Talent Fuels Optimism
Plenty of talent returns. Twenty-six Bolles swimmers and divers earned All-America honors in 2025-26, according to the school's athletics department, and key contributors are back on both sides.
On the boys' side, senior Tommy Lussier ranked 37th nationally in the 50 freestyle and swam on the third-ranked 200 freestyle relay. Junior Lev Fahy earned All-America recognition in the 100 backstroke.
The girls' roster looks even deeper. Junior Allison Kelly ranked sixth nationally in the 200 freestyle. Senior Prakhanthi Rai placed 12th in the 100 breaststroke. Senior Leah Chin anchored two nationally ranked relays: the 200 medley (10th) and 200 freestyle (sixth). Senior Heidi Stoute swam on the girls' 400 freestyle relay that ranked third in the country.
Diving Standouts and Coaching Honors
In diving, junior Gianna Vasto earned All-America honors and competed alongside sophomore Ben Goodman at the USA Diving Zone B Championships in June 2026, according to the school.
On the coaching staff, associate head coach Dale Porter was named among the top 25 age group coaches for 2026 by the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) and Fitter and Faster, recognized in the Extra-Large Teams category for programs with 351 or more swimmers.
Program's Historic Legacy
The program's overall record: 47 boys' state titles, 39 girls' state titles and 18 combined national championships.
