Mandarin boys soccer opens its 2026-27 season Wednesday, Nov. 4, at home against First Coast, according to the team's MaxPreps schedule.
The Mustangs enter the new campaign after a deep playoff run in 2025-26 that included a 2-0 victory over reigning champion New Port Richey Mitchell in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 6A semifinal on Feb. 23 in DeLand, according to the Florida Times-Union.
The Times-Union released its preseason power rankings for boys soccer across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida on Oct. 29. Defending FHSAA champion Beachside tops the list with a 19-2-2 overall record from 2025-26, competing in District 2-6A. Beachside earned the No. 1 ranking after winning the Class 5A state title in February, beating Pembroke Pines Charter 2-1 in overtime.
First matches across the First Coast begin Monday, Nov. 2, the Times-Union reported. The season leads to the state championships at Spec Martin Stadium in DeLand in February.
