The 71st Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair opens Nov. 5 at its new Westside home, ending a 70-year run at the downtown fairgrounds.
Fair opens at a new Westside location
The 11-day fair runs Nov. 5-15 at 13601 Normandy Blvd., next to the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. Gates open at 5 p.m. on opening night, according to the fair’s official FAQ.
The new grounds cover more than 82 acres, the fair says, and include a 40,000-square-foot indoor hall, a 10,000-capacity amphitheater and more than 5,000 parking spaces. The fair has described its move as a shift from downtown to a larger Westside site.
What to know about tickets
Advance general-admission tickets and Mega Passes are available through Nov. 4 at 11:59 p.m. Adults can buy general admission for $10, children ages 6-12 and seniors can buy tickets for $5, and a $25 Mega Pass bundles admission with a ride armband, according to the fair’s ticket page. The Mega Pass covers most mechanical rides for one day; concert tickets, food and vendor purchases are separate.
Fair gates open at noon on weekends and holidays and at 5 p.m. on most weekdays. The fair posts the full daily schedule online.
New venue for concerts and exhibits
The new JAX Amphitheater hosts the fair’s concert lineup. Concert tickets include fair admission for the date of the show, the fair says. The indoor Duval Hall hosts performances and exhibits during the Nov. 5-15 run.
