Mandarin families have two Halloween options this week: a sports association trunk-or-treat Friday, Oct. 30, and Halloween Happenings at the Mandarin Branch Library Saturday, Oct. 31.

Friday’s trunk-or-treat

The Mandarin Sports Association event is listed from 5 to 8 p.m., with $10 admission, a costume contest, bounce houses and candy, according to Fun 4 First Coast Kids.

Confirm the venue directly with MSA before traveling: its website advertises Alberts Field, 12073 Brady Road, while the event listing and MSA’s Facebook announcement identify the Palmetto Leaves complex at 5720 Greenland Road. Questions can go to [email protected].

Saturday at the library

The library’s fifth annual Halloween Happenings runs from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Mandarin Branch conference room.

Families can play Halloween mini golf through the stacks, try a haunted sensory dark room, make a trick-or-treat bag and collect candy at three library desks. The listing welcomes families and all ages. It does not specify a fee or registration requirement.
