WJCT Public Media and local partners will collect warm clothing and blankets for Northeast Florida residents during the 24th annual Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive, Nov. 2-30.

What the drive accepts

Residents may donate new or gently used sweaters, jackets, socks and blankets. Last year, WJCT and its partners collected and distributed more than 10,000 pounds of cold-weather items, according to the station’s announcement.

Where donations will go

WJCT is partnering with VyStar Credit Union, Suddath, Tom Bush Family of Dealerships and Natural Life. On Dec. 17, donations are scheduled to go to Clay County Rescue Mission, City Rescue Mission and Clara White Mission in Duval County, and Barnabas Center in Nassau County, WJCT said.

The annual drive honors Fred Rogers, host of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.” WJCT President and CEO Karen Feagins said the project carries forward his message of neighborly kindness.
