Mandarin voters in Precinct 508 will cast ballots at a new location for the Tuesday, Nov. 3 general election.

New site replaces San Jose Country Club

Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland announced Tuesday, Sept. 15, that the precinct's polling place is moving from San Jose Country Club, 7529 San Jose Blvd., to Wayman Temple AME Church South Campus, 8855 Sanchez Rd. Both addresses are in Jacksonville's 32217 ZIP code, keeping the polling place within the Mandarin area.

Precinct's second move of the year

This is the second time Precinct 508 voters have been reassigned in 2026. Before the Aug. 18 primary, the precinct moved from Christ the Messiah Church, 7576 San Jose Blvd., to San Jose Country Club. That location lasted one election cycle. Now voters must learn a third address in less than a year.

State law permits changes between elections

Holland's office cited Chapter 101.71 of Florida Statutes, which governs polling place changes. The office said polling places may shift between elections because of construction, voter convenience or facility availability. The specific reason San Jose Country Club is no longer available was not stated in the announcement. News4Jax also reported the polling place change.

Voters who show up at San Jose Country Club on Election Day will be at the wrong location. Florida law requires voters who cast ballots on Election Day to vote at their assigned precinct.

How to confirm your polling place

All affected voters will receive an updated voter information card by mail showing the new location, according to the elections office. Voters can also verify their assigned precinct online at duvalelections.gov by selecting "Voter Information" and using the Polling Location Finder.

The new polling place, Wayman Temple AME Church South Campus, is at 8855 Sanchez Rd., roughly 2 miles south of the old San Jose Country Club location on San Jose Boulevard.
