A fire at MAA Belmont Apartments on Oldfield Crossing Drive displaced four adults and one child Friday afternoon, Aug. 21, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
No one was injured.
JFRD crews responded just after 3 p.m. to the complex at 3900 Oldfield Crossing Dr., near the Lowe's Home Improvement store, Action News Jax reported. A department spokeswoman said the blaze was under control by about 4 p.m.
The fire damaged one of 12 multistory buildings at the gated apartment community, which sits in the Loretto area of Mandarin. JFRD has not released the cause of the fire or identified which building or unit was affected.
