Mandarin voters can preview their full Nov. 3 general election ballot online after the Duval County elections office posted sample ballots Tuesday, and some may discover their polling place has moved.

Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland announced that ballots are live at duvalelections.gov. Voters can view theirs by selecting "My Voter Status" and entering their name and date of birth.

Some voters will see new polling locations

Holland's announcement noted some precincts have been reassigned. Voters whose precinct changed will find their new precinct number, polling place address and a photo of the location through the same portal. The office did not specify which precincts were affected.

Two tax measures appear on the ballot

Two ballot measures will face Mandarin voters alongside local and state races.

The Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) 1-mill property tax renewal, first approved by voters in 2022, funds an $8,600 annual bonus for teachers, according to News4Jax. DCPS Superintendent Christopher Bernier said at a Friday school board meeting, "The millage that you provided is working. It's helping us keep teachers. It's helping us recruit teachers." For a home with a $275,000 taxable value, the district estimates the cost at about $275 per year.

Florida's Amendment 3 would raise the non-school homestead tax exemption from $50,000 to $150,000 in 2027 and up to $250,000 by 2028, according to the Tallahassee Democrat. It needs 60% approval to pass.
